ਸਰ ਅਨੰਗ ਕੇ ਤਨ ਗਡੇ ਕਢੇ ਦਸਊਅਲਿ ਫੂਟਿ ॥

sar ana(n)g ke tan gadde kadde dhasuooal fooT ||

The Cupid’s arrows were hitting her and passing straight through,

ਲੋਕ ਲਾਜ ਕੁਲ ਕਾਨਿ ਸਭ ਗਈ ਤਰਕ ਦੈ ਤੂਟਿ ॥੧੨॥

lok laaj kul kaan sabh giee tarak dhai tooT ||12||

She felt the veil of human modesty tearing off.(12)

ਏਕ ਪੁਰਖ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਹੁਤੋ ਤਾ ਕੌ ਲਯੋ ਬੁਲਾਇ ॥

ek purakh su(n)dhar huto taa kau layo bulai ||

She called for a handsome male,

ਮੈਨ ਭੋਗ ਤਾ ਸੌ ਕਿਯੋ ਹ੍ਰਿਦੈ ਹਰਖ ਉਪਜਾਇ ॥੧੩॥

main bhog taa sau kiyo hiradhai harakh upajai ||13||

And had sex with him to her full satisfaction.(13)

ਚੌਪਈ ॥

Chaupaee

ਤਾ ਸੌ ਭੋਗ ਕਰਤ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਰਸੀ ॥

taa sau bhog karat tiray rasee ||

He copulated with the woman admirably,

ਜਨ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਨਾਰਿ ਭਵਨ ਤਿਹ ਬਸੀ ॥

jan havai naar bhavan teh basee ||

As if she was his own spouse.

ਨਿਤ ਨਿਸਾ ਕਹ ਤਾਹਿ ਬੁਲਾਵੈ ॥

nit nisaa keh taeh bulaavai ||

She started to call him every night,

ਮਨ ਭਾਵਤ ਕੇ ਭੋਗ ਕਮਾਵੈ ॥੧੪॥

man bhaavat ke bhog kamaavai ||14||

And enjoyed heart felt sex.(14)

ਆਵਤ ਤਾਹਿ ਲੋਗ ਸਭ ਰੋਕੈ ॥

aavat taeh log sabh rokai ||

Coming there, people saw him and admonished,

ਚੋਰ ਪਛਾਨਿ ਪਾਹਰੂ ਟੋਕੈ ॥

chor pachhaan paaharoo Tokai ||

And the watchmen reckoned him to be a thief,

ਜਬ ਚੇਰੀ ਤਿਨ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਨਾਵੈ ॥

jab cheree tin bachan sunaavai ||

Then, the maid would tell a telltale,

ਤਬ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਜਾਰ ਸੁ ਪੈਠੈ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੧੫॥

tab gireh jaar su paiThai paavai ||15||

And the paramour would go in.(15)

ਭੋਗ ਜਾਰ ਸੋ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਅਤਿ ਕਰੈ ॥

bhog jaar so tiray at karai ||

ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਕੇ ਭੋਗਨ ਭਰੈ ॥

bhaat bhaat ke bhogan bharai ||

Then, the woman would have sex with the lover,

ਅਧਿਕ ਕਾਮ ਕੋ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਉਪਜਾਵੈ ॥

adhik kaam ko tiray upajaavai ||

ਲਪਟਿ ਲਪਟਿ ਕਰਿ ਭੋਗ ਕਮਾਵੈ ॥੧੬॥

lapaT lapaT kar bhog kamaavai ||16||

By adopting various mating styles.(16)

ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

Dohira

ਜਬ ਚੇਰੀ ਪਹਰੂਨ ਕੋ ਉਤਰ ਦੇਤ ਬਨਾਇ ॥

jab cheree paharoon ko utar dhet banai ||

(As a matter of fact) when the maid was talking to the watchman,

ਤਬ ਵਹੁ ਪਾਵਤ ਪੈਠਬੋ ਮੀਤ ਮਿਲਤ ਤਿਹ ਆਇ ॥੧੭॥

tab vahu paavat paiThabo meet milat teh aai ||17||

He had sneaked in to meet her.(17)

ਚੌਪਈ ॥

ਰੈਨਿ ਭਈ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਬੁਲਾਯੋ ॥

rain bhiee tiray mitr bulaayo ||

Another night came, the lady called her friend,

ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਕੋ ਭੇਸ ਧਾਰਿ ਸੋ ਆਯੋ ॥

tiray ko bhes dhaar so aayo ||

Disguising himself as a woman, he came in.

ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਤਾ ਸੋ ਬਚਨ ਉਚਰੇ ॥

eeh bidh taa so bachan uchare ||

Then she told him this,

ਹਮ ਸੋ ਭੋਗ ਅਧਿਕ ਤੁਮ ਕਰੇ ॥੧੮॥

ham so bhog adhik tum kare ||18||

‘You have had enough sex with me.(18)

ਨਾਰਿ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਸੁਨਿ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਹਮਾਰੇ ॥

naar kahiyo sun mitr hamaare ||

She said, ‘listen my dear friend,

ਕਹੋ ਬਾਤ ਸੋ ਕਰਹੁ ਪ੍ਯਾਰੇ ॥

kaho baat so karahu payaare ||

‘Listen to what I am going to tell you.

ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਮੋਰ ਕਾਨਨ ਧਰਿ ਲੀਜਹੁ ॥

ma(n)tr mor kaanan dhar leejahu ||

And listen with full ear towards me,

ਅਵਰ ਕਿਸੂ ਤਨ ਭੇਦ ਨ ਦੀਜਹੁ ॥੧੯॥

avar kisoo tan bhedh na dheejahu ||19||

‘On the condition that you never divulge to any one.’(19)

ਏਕ ਦਿਵਸ ਤੁਮ ਬਨ ਮੈ ਜੈਯਹੁ ॥

ek dhivas tum ban mai jaiyahu ||

‘You go to the woods one day,

ਏਕ ਬਾਵਰੀ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਨੈਯਹੁ ॥

ek baavaree bheetar naiyahu ||

And take bath in natural spring water.

ਮੋਹਿ ਮਿਲੇ ਜਦੁਪਤਿ ਯੌ ਕਹਿਯਹੁ ॥

moh mile jadhupat yau kahiyahu ||

(Tell others), ‘I have met Shri Krishna,’

ਏ ਬਚ ਭਾਖਿ ਮੌਨ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਰਹਿਯਹੁ ॥੨੦॥

e bach bhaakh mauan havai rahiyahu ||20||

And then become a silent ascetic.(20)

ਤੁਮ ਜੋ ਲੋਗ ਦੇਖ ਹੈ ਆਈ ॥

tum jo log dhekh hai aaiee ||

‘The people who would come to see you,

ਯੌ ਕਹਿ ਯਹੁ ਤਿਨ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਨਾਈ ॥

yau keh yahu tin bachan sunaiee ||

‘You narrate to them.

ਆਨਿ ਗਾਵ ਤੇ ਬਚਨ ਕਹੈਂਗੇ ॥

aan gaav te bachan kahai(n)ge ||

‘They would, no doubt, indulge in cacophony.

ਸੁਨ ਬਤਿਯਾ ਹਮ ਚਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਰਹੈਂਗੇ ॥੨੧॥

sun batiyaa ham chakirat rahai(n)ge ||21||

‘Listening to them we would show surprise.(21)

ਚੜਿ ਝੰਪਾਨ ਸੁ ਤਹਾ ਹਮ ਐ ਹੈ ॥

chaR jha(n)paan su tahaa ham aai hai ||

‘I would come to you sitting in a palanquin,

ਗੁਰੂ ਭਾਖਿ ਤਵ ਸੀਸ ਝੁਕੈ ਹੈ ॥

guroo bhaakh tav sees jhukai hai ||

‘I would bow to you considering you as my Guru.

ਲੈ ਤੋ ਕੋ ਅਪਨੇ ਘਰ ਜੈਹੋ ॥

lai to ko apane ghar jaiho ||

‘Then I would bring you to my house,

ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਕੇ ਭੋਗ ਕਮੈਹੋ ॥੨੨॥

bhaat bhaat ke bhog kamaiho ||22||

Ad there we would revel in various sex plays.’(22)

ਤਵਨੈ ਜਾਰ ਤੈਸ ਹੀ ਕਿਯੋ ॥

tavanai jaar tais hee kiyo ||

Her friend acted upon the way,

ਜਵਨ ਭਾਤਿ ਅਬਲਾ ਕਹਿ ਦਿਯੋ ॥

javan bhaat abalaa keh dhiyo ||

The lady had told him..

ਭਯੋ ਪ੍ਰਾਤ ਬਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਿਧਾਰਿਯੋ ॥

bhayo praat ban maeh sidhaariyo ||

(Then) next morning he went into the woods,

ਏਕ ਬਾਵਰੀ ਮਾਹਿ ਬਿਹਾਰਿਯੋ ॥੨੩॥

ek baavaree maeh bihaariyo ||23||

And took bath in natural spring water.(23)

ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

Dohira

ਮਜਨ ਕਰਿ ਬਾਪੀ ਬਿਖੈ ਬੈਠਿਯੋ ਧ੍ਯਾਨ ਲਗਾਇ ॥

majan kar baapee bikhai baiThiyo dhayaan lagai ||

After mouth washing, he sat down besides the spring in deep contemplation,

ਕਹਿਯੋ ਆਨਿ ਮੁਹਿ ਦੈ ਗਏ ਦਰਸਨ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਜਦੁਰਾਇ ॥੨੪॥

kahiyo aan muh dhai ge dharasan sree jadhurai ||24||

And declared that Shri Krishna had come into his vision.(24)
