Simran

Hukamnama on your lock screen

See today's Hukamnama every time you pick up your phone. How you add it depends on your phone.

Pixel and other Android 16 phones

Lock screen widgets arrived in the December 2025 update to Android 16. Make sure your phone is up to date in Settings, then System, then Software updates.

  1. Open Settings, go to Display & touch, then Lock screen, and turn on Widgets on lock screen.
  2. Lock your phone and swipe left from the right edge of the lock screen.
  3. Tap Add widgets and unlock your phone.
  4. Search for Simran, pick a Hukamnama widget, tap Add, then Done.

If your phone has no Widgets on lock screen setting, your phone maker has not turned the feature on yet. You can still add the Hukamnama widget to your home screen. Touch and hold an empty spot on the home screen, tap Widgets, and choose Simran.

Samsung Galaxy

Samsung's lock screen only accepts widgets from Samsung's own apps. Samsung's free Good Lock app adds support for other widgets, including Simran's, through its LockStar module.

  1. Install Good Lock from the Galaxy Store or Google Play.
  2. Open Good Lock and install the LockStar module.
  3. Open LockStar, turn it on, and tap the lock screen preview.
  4. Tap Add widget, choose Simran, and pick a Hukamnama widget.
  5. Move or resize the widget if you like, then tap Save.

Good Lock is not available in every country. If you can't find it, add the Hukamnama widget to your home screen instead. Touch and hold an empty spot on the home screen, tap Widgets, and choose Simran.

iPhone

  1. Touch and hold the lock screen until Customize appears, then tap it.
  2. Tap Lock Screen, then tap the widget area below the time.
  3. Search for Simran, tap the Hukamnama widget, then tap Done.
