Delete your account

You can ask us to delete your Simran account and the data associated with it at any time. This page explains how, and what happens to your data.

How to request deletion

  1. Email [email protected] with the subject Delete my Simran account.
  2. Send it from the email address you use to sign in to Simran, or tell us which address that is. If you signed in with Apple and chose to hide your email, tell us the name on your account as well, so we can find it.
  3. We will confirm your request by reply, then delete your account and data within 30 days. Once it is done, it cannot be undone.

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play. Cancel it in your store's subscription settings first, otherwise it will keep renewing.

What is deleted

  • Your account: email address, name, and sign-in details.
  • Your practice history, streaks, routine, and progress.
  • Your conversations with the AI companion.
  • Everything in Sangat: your profile, photo, reflections, likes, reports, and blocks.
  • Your push notification token and your entry in our email list.

What is kept, and for how long

  • Purchase and subscription records, for as long as tax, accounting, and legal obligations require. These do not include your payment card details, which we never hold.
  • Copies in our backups, for up to 30 days after deletion, after which they expire.
  • Usage and device analytics, which are not tied to your account after deletion, for up to 24 months from collection.
