ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਹੋਇ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸੁ ॥

prabh kirapaa te hoi pragaas ||

By God's Grace, enlightenment comes.

ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਇਆ ਤੇ ਕਮਲ ਬਿਗਾਸੁ ॥

prabhoo dhiaa te kamal bigaas ||

By God's Kind Mercy, the heart-lotus blossoms forth.

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੁਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਬਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਸੋਇ ॥

prabh suprasa(n)n basai man soi ||

When God is totally pleased, He comes to dwell in the mind.

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦਇਆ ਤੇ ਮਤਿ ਊਤਮ ਹੋਇ ॥

prabh dhiaa te mat uootam hoi ||

By God's Kind Mercy, the intellect is exalted.

ਸਰਬ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇਰੀ ਮਇਆ ॥

sarab nidhaan prabh teree miaa ||

All treasures, O Lord, come by Your Kind Mercy.

ਆਪਹੁ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਕਿਨਹੂ ਲਇਆ ॥

aapahu kachhoo na kinahoo liaa ||

No one obtains anything by himself.

ਜਿਤੁ ਜਿਤੁ ਲਾਵਹੁ ਤਿਤੁ ਲਗਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਥ ॥

jit jit laavahu tit lageh har naath ||

As You have delegated, so do we apply ourselves, O Lord and Master.

ਨਾਨਕ ਇਨ ਕੈ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਹਾਥ ॥੮॥੬॥

naanak in kai kachhoo na haath ||8||6||

O Nanak, nothing is in our hands. ||8||6||

ਅਗਮ ਅਗਾਧਿ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਸੋਇ ॥

agam agaadh paarabraham soi ||

Unapproachable and Unfathomable is the Supreme Lord God;

ਜੋ ਜੋ ਕਹੈ ਸੁ ਮੁਕਤਾ ਹੋਇ ॥

jo jo kahai su mukataa hoi ||

whoever speaks of Him shall be liberated.

ਸੁਨਿ ਮੀਤਾ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਬਿਨਵੰਤਾ ॥ ਸਾਧ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ਅਚਰਜ ਕਥਾ ॥੧॥

sun meetaa naanak binava(n)taa || saadh janaa kee acharaj kathaa ||1||

Listen, O friends, Nanak prays, to the wonderful story of the Holy. ||1||

In the Company of the Holy, all filth is removed.

ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਟੈ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ ॥

In the Company of the Holy, egotism is eliminated.

ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਪ੍ਰਗਟੈ ਸੁਗਿਆਨੁ ॥

saadh kai sa(n)g pragaTai sugiaan ||

In the Company of the Holy, spiritual wisdom is revealed.

ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਬੁਝੈ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਨੇਰਾ ॥

saadh kai sa(n)g bujhai prabh neraa ||

In the Company of the Holy, God is understood to be near at hand.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਸਭੁ ਹੋਤ ਨਿਬੇਰਾ ॥

saadhasa(n)g sabh hot niberaa ||

In the Company of the Holy, all conflicts are settled.

ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਪਾਏ ਨਾਮ ਰਤਨੁ ॥

saadh kai sa(n)g paae naam ratan ||

In the Company of the Holy, one obtains the jewel of the Naam.

In the Company of the Holy, one's efforts are directed toward the One Lord.

ਸਾਧ ਕੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਬਰਨੈ ਕਉਨੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਨੀ ॥

saadh kee mahimaa baranai kaun praanee ||

What mortal can speak of the Glorious Praises of the Holy?

ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਧ ਕੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਮਾਨੀ ॥੧॥

O Nanak, the glory of the Holy people merges into God. ||1||

In the Company of the Holy, one meets the Incomprehensible Lord.

In the Company of the Holy, one flourishes forever.

ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਆਵਹਿ ਬਸਿ ਪੰਚਾ ॥

In the Company of the Holy, the five passions are brought to rest.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਰਸੁ ਭੁੰਚਾ ॥

In the Company of the Holy, one enjoys the essence of ambrosia.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਹੋਇ ਸਭ ਕੀ ਰੇਨ ॥

In the Company of the Holy, one becomes the dust of all.

In the Company of the Holy, the mind does not wander.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਅਸਥਿਤਿ ਮਨੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥

saadhasa(n)g asathit man paavai ||

In the Company of the Holy, the mind becomes stable.

ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਾਇਆ ਤੇ ਭਿੰਨ ॥

saadh kai sa(n)g maiaa te bhi(n)n ||

In the Company of the Holy, one is rid of Maya.

In the Company of the Holy, all one's enemies become friends.

ਸਾਧੂ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਹਾ ਪੁਨੀਤ ॥

In the Company of the Holy, there is great purity.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਕਿਸ ਸਿਉ ਨਹੀ ਬੈਰੁ ॥

saadhasa(n)g kis siau nahee bair ||

In the Company of the Holy, no one is hated.

ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਬੀਗਾ ਪੈਰੁ ॥

saadh kai sa(n)g na beegaa pair ||

In the Company of the Holy, one's feet do not wander.

ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਕੋ ਮੰਦਾ ॥

saadh kai sa(n)g naahee ko ma(n)dhaa ||

In the Company of the Holy, no one seems evil.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਜਾਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਨੰਦਾ ॥

saadhasa(n)g jaane paramaana(n)dhaa ||

In the Company of the Holy, supreme bliss is known.

ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਹਉ ਤਾਪੁ ॥

In the Company of the Holy, the fever of ego departs.

In the Company of the Holy, one renounces all selfishness.

ਆਪੇ ਜਾਨੈ ਸਾਧ ਬਡਾਈ ॥

He Himself knows the greatness of the Holy.

ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਧ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਬਨਿ ਆਈ ॥੩॥

In the Company of the Holy, the mind never wanders.

ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥

saadh kai sa(n)g sadhaa sukh paavai ||

In the Company of the Holy, one obtains everlasting peace.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਬਸਤੁ ਅਗੋਚਰ ਲਹੈ ॥

saadhasa(n)g basat agochar lahai ||

In the Company of the Holy, one grasps the Incomprehensible.

ਸਾਧੂ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਅਜਰੁ ਸਹੈ ॥

saadhoo kai sa(n)g ajar sahai ||

In the Company of the Holy, one can endure the unendurable.

ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਬਸੈ ਥਾਨਿ ਊਚੈ ॥

saadh kai sa(n)g basai thaan uoochai ||

In the Company of the Holy, one abides in the loftiest place.

ਸਾਧੂ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਹਲਿ ਪਹੂਚੈ ॥

saadhoo kai sa(n)g mahal pahoochai ||

In the Company of the Holy, one attains the Mansion of the Lord's Presence.

ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਦ੍ਰਿੜੈ ਸਭਿ ਧਰਮ ॥

In the Company of the Holy, one's Dharmic faith is firmly established.

ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਕੇਵਲ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ॥

In the Company of the Holy, one dwells with the Supreme Lord God.

ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਪਾਏ ਨਾਮ ਨਿਧਾਨ ॥

In the Company of the Holy, one obtains the treasure of the Naam.

ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਧੂ ਕੈ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ॥੪॥

O Nanak, I am a sacrifice to the Holy. ||4||

In the Company of the Holy, all one's family is saved.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਸਾਜਨ ਮੀਤ ਕੁਟੰਬ ਨਿਸਤਾਰੈ ॥

saadhasa(n)g saajan meet kuTa(n)b nisataarai ||

In the Company of the Holy, one's friends, acquaintances and relatives are redeemed.

ਸਾਧੂ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਸੋ ਧਨੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥

saadhoo kai sa(n)g so dhan paavai ||

In the Company of the Holy, that wealth is obtained.

ਜਿਸੁ ਧਨ ਤੇ ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਵਰਸਾਵੈ ॥

jis dhan te sabh ko varasaavai ||

Everyone benefits from that wealth.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਧਰਮ ਰਾਇ ਕਰੇ ਸੇਵਾ ॥

saadhasa(n)g dharam rai kare sevaa ||

In the Company of the Holy, the Lord of Dharma serves.

ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਸੋਭਾ ਸੁਰਦੇਵਾ ॥

In the Company of the Holy, the divine, angelic beings sing God's Praises.

ਸਾਧੂ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਪਾਪ ਪਲਾਇਨ ॥

In the Company of the Holy, one's sins fly away.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਇਨ ॥
